I noticed that on other phpBB forums there is an option in the user control panel to set the forum time to the users time zone. Was this taken out or was it a feature added after this version of phpBB? If it was taken out can we have it back?

It's still there.
Click on "Edit Profile" in the blue bar above.
Scroll down a bit until you see "Timezone:", just above the "Registration Agreement".
Change to GMT + or - whatever corresponds to your time xzone.
Agree to the registration agreement. et voila!

Yes, that should work.

Addtionally, WPW veterans will appreciate the fact that you can now choose your time/date display format in plain English instead of crazy php 'date()' code.
