is this possible? I.E. If I were in the UK and wanted to see what a goggle user in australia would see in thei SERP, how would i do that?

You just open google.com.au The results will not be identical, because they take the IP address into account (guessing a bit, but it looks that way).

Location targeting is based on the IP (Internet Protocol) address of the searcher. This technique allows us to determine the searcher's country with close to 99% accuracy.

99%.. with all the proxies and other technical difficulties.. Hummm..

You will still get reasonable results if you use the local search engines. I do it as well that way. Google.de gives different results to google.at.
