I have had a problem with a few sites of mine loosing titles and descroptions in Google. They were all formerly indexed well, and now, nothing but the URL is displayed.

Does anyone have any feedback on this - my site is dissapearing.

It happened to me a while back. Google calls it "partial indexing". Your site was only partially indexed when something hiccuped. As such only the URL is displayed. When I finally received a reply to an email I sent Google they said my web servers had gone down, which I know was not true.

There is no one way to fix this problem. I put lots of links to my home page out all over the place & eventually the site was revisted by the Google bots & title, description, etc. reappeared.

KtoID,

You definitely have talent
I like the www.klocknermoeller.com
site, but you gotta get rid of the "rubber duckie", it just doesn't fit....

I'll look deeper shortly... gotta tend clients

okay, maybe this could be more interesting -

I think that the way a site uses cookies may have some effect on the way google indexes titles and descriptions.

I wouldnt imagine that google has cookies enabled on their browser, so if you must have them enabled to see a site ?? then would google see it.

Also, the introduction of global sessions may play a role.

I am curios about this role, because whenever I view the cache of the title"less" url in google, the "enable cokkies" popup is displayed...This doesnt happen when the cache of a page with a title is queried.

food for thought - and comments
