Is Yahoo's free directory submission BS?

For the past 3 months I have persistently sending in a request to get my domain added to their directory, wait a couple of week, check, and then submit again.

Is the free submission bs? I feel i have a fairly successful site, and am curious if I am wasting my time?

The problem is that you're submitting too much. They only want you to submit once.

They state in their submission guidelines:



If your site was not added following an initial submission and you want to resubmit it via our Standard Submission process, please wait two to three weeks between submissions. If you submit more often than that, your submissions to Yahoo! run the risk of being considered spam and could possibly be dropped from consideration

I have been well within those guidelines.

If you cant get listed, move on, try elsewhere.... Even if you pay, you wont be guaranteed inclusion either.
