In the past 10 hours I have gotten 14 Feedback forms from my site. I don't think I've gotten that many in the past 6 months combined. They are all from different people, although some are at the same address. Most of them said they found us through a "friend". The point of the page is for them to tell me how they like the site, but we then send them a free t-shirt. Nearly all of the forms are useless because they just pick one option (ie., "good","poor","excellent") for all the questions.

Here is the page:

Is there any way to know what brought about this giant increase in traffic?

I think I am going to get them to confirm their E-mail addresses. I don't mind sending the shirts, it just seems a little strange.

Hello,

When I go to your feedback page, I get a 404 error page...

Now we're up to 19. I removed the link. All I can figure is that someone sent the link to a lot of people. I might put it back tomorrow and see what happens. For now, I'm sending E-mail to all the people who requested shirts today to make sure it is at least a real E-mail address. Only one has come back "undeliverable" so far.

I removed the feedback form (sorry, should've clarified). As soon as I did, they discovered the form you can fill out to opt-in to our mailing list and started with that! So, I've had to remove that one, too. Its too bad. Now they can only get to the feedback page if they're logged in.

It has been suggested that maybe we showed up on a site like freestuff.com? I've wasted enough time on this, but I am curious and might have to go see if I can find the listing.
