It's starting to happen again. For some reason I am getting the ability to delete my posts again. I am sure that I don't have that ability with my rank, is it just a wandering bug in the PHPbb code?

1. I can't see that even in the post where you say you see it -- maybe it means you're a Moderator.

2. That's not a bug, it's an "X"

3. This (http://www.webproworld.com/viewtopic.php?t=30909) is a bug.

What I meant was I have the ability to delete my posts randomly when I shouldn't. If I clicked that X I would delete my post, something against the forum software.

Ooooh, the possibilities...

that's not a bug, its an "X"

it could be a bug, like those strange African spiders or something

Greetings salomon741,

That's an "odd" bug you have going on...

I'll look into the problem for you and inform Mike about it to...

Until we get the problem fixed... just ignore button.

Thanks for telling us about it...

For the record, I did dig around and look your account over (many times) in the database... nothing. I don't see anything, anywhere, that says you can delete stuff. I found where those powers are bestowed and controlled and your account does not appear there.

I have an idea or two of some other possibilities for this but they all require I stab and prod around in increasingly sensitive areas of the DB and I'm just not sure it's worth it.

Soooo, enjoy your x. I don't really have a problem with you having it in the first place.

Can we all get one then? Like a Gmail account, everyone will start sending you their requests!

Yeah, I nearly jumped on the bandwagon and asked for a Gmail invitation, too, just coz everyone else did.

But I decided against it.

Now I feel left out.

Can you send me an X instead?

I don't BELIEVE it - I got an "X"

No kidding.

It was on a post I just made. The only unusual thing I did was to use text size

Hasn't worked on this post, just the "bang" post I made on http://www.webproworld.com/viewtopic.php?t=31577

Maybe something to do with that forum?

This is a test... only a test...

If this had been a real post, it would have contained several smileys and a bad joke...

Ok... is there an X here?

Supplementary:
Nope... just the usual Edit button...

Yep, Joe.. it looks like an issue in the MSN Search (http://www.webproworld.com/viewforum.php?f=51) forum, I just posted a reply to your post there, and lo and behold, I have an 'X' too! :o)

Yikes. This is sounding a little too personal... what the kids today call "too much information". One is tempted to ask either "How often have you had X since that incident?" or "How many X's have you had in total?"...

But I am glad to hear it made you happy.

This could well be the next big thing: To hell with "PR watching" -- where and when will the next X appear?
