Why does Google hate me?

Why do i rank well for all search engines except Google? My main keywords are 'Flash Web Design London', which gives me the following positions:

Google: 208!
Yahoo: 5
Lycos: 6
Ask Jeeves: 6
AltaVista: 5

Anyone got any ideas? My site's www.volatyle.co.uk if you have time for a look.

Google appears to place more emphasis on links analysis and keywords in the anchor text of links than the other SE's - you are weak on both these counts.

Ok keyword anchor text is the text that shows up in the link if someone links to you with car hire as the text of the link then google will know your site is about car hire.

also why would you not want people to link to you. google works from link popularity. think of it this way the more links from sites to your site means you are more popular so go higher.

erm, i do. I just didn't want people to offer that as an answer to my question.

Lovely graphics, excellent in fact, but it is not user friendly, you have to 'squint' to read copy.This will not affect your rankings, this is just a personal observation. I will take a better look next week.

Thanks David, which resolution are you using? Does anyone else think the text is too small?

Also, i've just done a keyword popularity check on 'Flash Web Design London' and it says it has been entered about 20 times last month. 'Flash Web Design' has been entered about 30,000!

I have to agree about the small text. I have my resolution set at 1152x864, and it's pretty hard to read.

Regarding anchor text, instead of having links like "click here to learn more" or "order now", what about something like "find out about flash templates" or "order flash templates now"? The anchor text inside your site is a source of keywords.

There are ten sites using Flash Web Design London two from Cananda - you rivals are Cyberteks.com - frynge.com djhgraphics & a few others. In your megatags you use the main search name twice, that is too many, go to one. Density is too high at 20% add text. Meta Description Add 'Flash Web Design London'
Place 'Flash Web Design London' as your main heading on page one. You also need links and lots of them, link with your competitors and then submit to directories - stay away from link farms. Change or add script at least twice a month. Apart from that you are Google friendly. Good luck David

I've made all the changes, and made the text a little bigger. Thanks for all you comments and suggestions.
