Hi,

I am looking for a good CMS package (free if possible) that is based on ASP and not on PHP like most other CMS available (e107, Mambo, Xoops, etc.) actually on the internet. It seems like it is more difficult to find ASP package than PHP. What could be the reason behind this fact? Any advice is welcome.

Well, PHP is opensource, so it has a large following among the opensource community, the same community that produces Nuke, Mambo Xoops, etc.

ASP is proprietary, so I guess fewer people are interested in releasing the source to their CMS's based on non-opensource software.

I have run across DotNetNuke (http://www.dotnetnuke.com) which is an opensource CMS based on ASP. I have only had the briefest encounters with ASP, and have never used DotNetNuke, but it might be worth looking at.

Anyway, good luck!
