Hello everyone. I'm going a little nuts and before I throw my computer out the window I am turning to you all for help.
I'm trying to optimize my site. Mary Ann/info202 posted a really great tool: http://www.instantposition.com/seo_doctor.cfm and I've been using it for the past hour or so. My problem?
The title tag results show my keyword appearing. Then, it shows "Diagnosis: Your title is poor, consider revising. Your keyword does not apppear in the title tag. You have not utilized an optimum 6 to 12 words.". I will likely feel silly when I get the answer for this but why doesn't my keyword register? Is it a problem with this tool or have I formatted my Title tag improperly? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you!
Oh, the URL I ran was www.supplierlocator.com with keyword 'wholesale'. Thanks!

Leisa,
I often get the same results running that tool. I'm not sure if it is a glitch in the software or what. Frequently I get the same errors on the rest of the results (body text, etc) so I would be interested in knowing as well.
I just assumed that it was a glitch because my tags are properly formatted (I think anyway).
Glad to see another MO resident around!

I just used the tool (before reading the developers note) I tweaked my page!
Kewl tool. If it has a 'bug' and he fixed it- even better.
I did NOT realize my pure, basic, #1 word was NOT being resolved by search engines.
I was using the word -complaints- instead of -complain-
An epiphany to be sure.
Thanks for the information and MANY thanks to the tool developer.

Hey ketyap. Thanks for the great tool. I won't hold you responsible for my temporary insanity due to your little bugger. :)
Seriously though, you have a great site there and a tool that helped me quite a bit. I guess (judging from this thread) that quite a few of us really like it!
Also, Aaron - nice to see a fellow midwestern soul here too!

Leisa,
You might want to fix this:
</table>
</body>
</html>
</td>
</tr>
You have 2 </body></html> in your code.
