I have a client that needs a basic web page done. We will start with a home page, but will add an online catalog (probably Miva or OSCommmerce) in the coming months. I am looking more for an independant designer than a company. The products will be diaper bags, but the design will be a little cooler than just babies and bags type of stuff.

I will provide basic graphics, photos and copy, will ask for an eye catching design and some flash elements as well.

I am looking for someone willing to forge an ongoing relationship to handle any of my web design work on an ongoing basis. I cannot guarantee work, so I will not dangle the offer for future work for a cheaper price now type of thing. But, that being said, I am looking for a designer who wants to provide quality work at a reasonable price. I will insist on cobranding the site with my company, but will offer a design link to yours as well.

Please provide a quote on the work specified, specifically, a single home page that we can build off of. I will need samples of work as well. SEO consideration is a must as well.

Hi Staceman,

I focus on building sites for creative professionals and people who want a site that expresses something about what they do rather than conforming to
'bank style' design.

My current rate is $35 per hour, which I keep low so that I can take the time to do a good job. It is difficult to quote a price, as my clients often want to tweak the details. I would guess that for a template alone it would be around $400. If we continued to work together we would both get a better picture of what portion of the work I'd be doing and a reasonable price for it.

Here are a couple of projects I've recently completed:

and my site:

I look forward to discussing this with you more.

Cheers,
John

I realize I am looking at this post way after the hurricane, but you never know. If you are still looking for help, I'd love to discuss this further with you.

I design sites that are clean, artsy but simple, easy to browse and usually successful on search engines, when I am asked to follow up with the marketing aspect.
