Looking for Ethical effective SEO in the UK

We have various ecommerce sites which we have so far optimised in house but we are currently looking for some expert help to really drive our rankings up for particular keyphrases.

Looking for an ethical and effective SEO company in the UK is far from easy, thanks to forums like this we know a little about SEO and so when we talk to either companies who contact us or companies who we contact we more than likely find black hat seo techniques employed.

Does anyone here have any recommendations for UK based SEO?

The only reason we want UK based SEO is becuase our market is predominantly UK based so we'd like an SEO company who know the market especially when it comes to differences in keyword/keyphrases between US and UK searches.
