View Full Version : Hurricanes in Florida slowing spam?
Florida has something of a bad rep as far as spam is concerned. Now, this morning I'm reading a Businessweek (http://www.businessweek.com/bwdaily/dnflash/sep2004/nf20040915_0180_db035.htm) article speculating that there may be a direct correlation between hurricanes (and their subsequent power outages) and a noticeable decline in spam. I have to say that my spam volume is down a bit over the past week or so... Maybe there's something to it? Anybody else noticing a dropoff?

You know what I never thought about this until you posted it, but yes I have seen a declined. I went to my SPAM filter on Outlook and check the number of SPAM mails it has caught and it is less than half of the normal days amount at this time. Of course I get a LARGE amount of my SPAM emails from prescription sites and I know many are located in Florida.

Pretty much the same for me... Well actually I just deleted my old address because of too much spam so my new one isn't out yet... I just get 3 or so a day :)
