backlinks with same ip's, devalued?

Hi all,

I've got space on about 300 webpages for three links. I've traded services for this space from different webmasters.

That gives me three backlinks on each page.

I have three different domains I want to promote, all on the same server (same ip sub-net).

If I put my three backlinks on these websites, and they have different domain names, but they're on the same ip block, does that dilute the effectiveness of the backlinks? Does google the ip addresses of the backlinks, and that they all point to the same server, into account?

Do a search on Google for Hilltop algorithim and read what it says about affiliated sites (ie same class IP) ... then make a judgement call as to if Google has implemented or partially implemented aspects of hilltop .... then decide on the risk...

But I don't see how it applies to my question.

I have three different websites I'm promoting.

I have 300+ webpages I can put three backlinks on.

So on each of these 300 pages, I have:

anchortext link.com
differentanchor differentlink.com
anotheranchor another.com

these three .coms are all on the same ip block.

Does the fact that I have three links, but they go to the same ip block, lessen the value of the backlinks (in google's eyes).

Would these backlinks each have a higher value if I get a couple of accounts on different servers so they are each in unique ip blocks?

Do you have the ability to try it, then change it if you need to?

If so, I would go ahead and place the links, then if you don't see the SERP boost that one might expect from 300 new backlinks, make some changes.

The links can't hurt your site, at worst they'll have little or no effect.

Some people have speculated that a sudden increase in a site's link popularity might trigger some of the so called "sandbox" phenomenon. This was a speculation that google had used this in an attempt to prevent google bombing. So you might need a lengthy "test period" to really see the true results.

I would bet that the fact that they are all going to the same IP block will not have any effect; assuming they are not all (or many of them) coming from the same IP block.

This test would give a lot if insight into G's algo, so document what you do and post the results.

Yeh, I was hoping to learn enough to avoid the lengthly test period :)

Guess every site/situation is slightly different though, so all I can do is learn all I can and then... test.

If google is discounting links form the same IP address, then all internal links are going to be discounted, and I just don't see that happening.
