What would be the best place to advertise my mortgage Co website for traffic?
Just getting started with this PPC and feel like a little fish in a big pond.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Interesting question. Can we assume that you are local? Primarily based in San Diego to service San Diego customers?

PPC on sites like Google or even Overture will not do you much good. If it was me, I would look to local web sites like realty offices, local radio websites, home improvement websites and the like and see what they would charge to place a banner on their sites (front page preferred). If you don't have any banners made up, either get a graphics program or hire someone to make some up. Some sites may have PPC but usually local sites will charge by the the month (preferred by me) or CPM, cost per thousand impressions. This is an antiquated system that doesn't give you very much bang for the buck. Before spending any money, make sure their page rank and visitor status is worth the dollars spent. For instance, if someone wants $30 a month to put your banner on their page, but they only receive 300 visitors per month, this isn't a good deal. You want 1000's of visitors to see your banner and be tempted to click.

Also, while you are cruising the net to find places to advertise, don't forget to request link exchanges with local business. This is invaluable and will do far more than paying for space.

Also, I didn't check out your website, but make sure that you have a regional Meta Tag to keep your mortgage business more focused on your area.

Dear Newbie,

I agree with Mr Johnson. I would also keep in mind that your market is very competative. I would consider formulating a budget for your marketing activites and then evaluate what marketing scenerios will give best results given your budget.

If you are a local service provider then piggy backing off another synergetic provider would probably yield better results.
