At the moment, you can enter a fake email from the same domain and get listed, just uhh... don't tell anyone. ha ha ha! In the future, a valid email will be needed to confirm the submitted information.

Simple. I don't want people adding sites and making up descriptions for sites that don't belong to them. I'm not sending any confirmation emails, so for now you can enter a fake email address from the same domain and get your site listed. This will change eventually if it becomes a problem.

All domain extensions should work. If you go to the New Sites page (http://www.linketeria.com/newsites.htm), you'll notice there are sites with different domain extensions already listed (.co.uk, .net, .us, .at).

Oh no, you're not! You were soooo right!!! The script I use to validate emails is like 4 years old and didn't understand domains with 4 letter extensions! I'm really sorry for the trouble!! It's all been fixed now and your site is up!

I'm not sure what I think about the policy of automatically linking to any site that applies, it could be open to abuse. Likewise giving high prominence to the sites that send you referrals. On a large scale it could be a very good way of doing things, ensuring that large, popular sites that link back get good placement. But on a small to medium scale it could be a lot like ALexa's results, which are heavily gamed.

You're right, it can be abused! Keep in mind that this site is brand new and it's still taking shape. New rules will be implemented and enforced should any abuse occurs.

In case you haven't noticed, sites that bring traffic are listed at the top of most pages and have a little star next to them.

Also, sites listed in Linketeria that send traffic to Allusads.com also get higher placement in Linketeria!

Well, credit where credit is due, out of all the free submission directories I have been submitting sites to in the last month or two, Linketeria is consistantly one of the first to list and one of the first to have that link spidered.

We just listed our site! Wow - too easy!
Posted a couple of ads while we were at All US Ads (although we couldn't post a link there until a mandatory link was posted on ours - which won't show up for about 24 hrs)

We've had problems in the past listing our site/dot com because our "physical" address is http://tzrz.safeshopper.com (which we've had for over 6 years and it is too large to move right now...) and our "dot com"... well actually the dot net" since someone beat us to the dot-com) is http://t-zers.net (with a re-direct) and our e-mail is bmc@t-zers.net (since an e-mail address is not available from "safeshopper) all of this does create some problems when we try to list our "dot net" (we even got blacklisted from DMoz because we didn't submit correctly... oh well...
