View Full Version : Anchor Text frustration...again
Hi All,
I've had this problem for a while now. There are internal anchor text links all over my site. For ease if you could look at www.sochoose.com/index.php there are two of them in the text top left of page, they are "Employee Assistance programme" and "EAP". They only highlight on mouseover which I don't think should be a problem.
Could someone have a look and tell me whether these are okay. Everyone I've asked has been unable to see them.
Thanks,
pne

I've tested the page in both IE6 and Mozilla and can't find any links either. Sorry.

I can't see what you are talking about. Are these links or just anchors? Change the color for your links.
Thanks guys, this is really P%****g me off! The anchor text is dark grey and turns blue on mouseover. I really need to know whether this is "proper" anchor text or not. If it's not what should I be doing?
Thanks,
pne

I can see the two text links "Workplace Counselling" and "EAP". Slow to load when I clicked on them :)

I'm not quite sure what you mean 100%, but my guess is that you're trying to do a title="anchor text" with your < a href > links?
Peter,
Have I got it wrong

Peter,
Have I got it wrong
If you mean the title anchor in links, I had a look at the code, and i couldn't see any reference to the title tags (or I'm damn blind lol).
Here's an example:
Fantasy Football (http://www.pedsters-planet.co.uk/fantasyfoot/)
or to anchor non links, just use:
<span title="example anchor text">your normal text</span>
but if I have the wrong end of the stick, I apologise.
(note: this thread would be best in Web Programming forum)
