hi

can i put adsonar adcodes to appear in place of google public service ads ??

as per TOC i cant put adsonar with adsense on the same page, but will it be allowed to use adsonar in alternate ads of adsense

Yes you should be able to. Create a page (e.g. adsonar-ad.html) and paste your Adsonar code into that. Just the code nothing else is needed. Then set up that page as your Google alternative ad when setting up the Google ads. Or ad the following line of code in the Google script.

google_alternate_ad_url = "http://www.you-domain.co.uk/adsonar-ad.html";

Isn't this forbidden when your site contains adsense ads/code?
I mean, you will be using google's adsense engine to display it's competitors ads instead of PSAs. :-)

No, it's not against Google's Terms & Conditions.


Alternate ads allow you to utilise your ad space in the event that Google is unable to serve targeted ads to your page. By specifying an image, HTML page, or ad server of your choice, you can make sure that your advertising space is always being used effectively, either by targeted Google ads, or by your own choice of content. You can also select a solid colour as your alternate ad, if you prefer not to display other advertisements or content when targeted Google ads are unavailable.

Alternate ads count as page impressions like any other ad. Google does not keep track of clicks on alternate ads and you will not receive revenue for them.

Alternate ads, if specified, will be shown when there are no targeted ads available for your page. The ad space will not be branded as 'Ads by Google.

further i saw today a newsletter from vault.com and it has adsense ad into it !!!

as far as i remember, adsense was not allowed in newsletters ??/

so has it been allowed??

I didn't know it was possible to insert Adsense Javascript code into e-mails.

I have just tried it and nothing happens, just see empty space (no PSAs).

There could be way round but how is the Google Adsense (MediaPartners) crawler/spider supposed to crawl an e-mail?
