How to Trademark a domain name? help needed

I want to trademark a domain name.
Whats the best way to do this? Lawyer or website like Legalzoom.com which do trademarking for charging additional $149.00 or just do it byself.

Also any help or info regarding trademark would be helpful?
One question how long does it take to get a trademark?

You should start yur quest for information at the US Patent and Trademark office site at uspto.gov

Btw TLDtrader for FDNY.com did they make you pay any fees or recover any money from you??? how about ican proceeding did you pay anything for that?
