hi all,

this is just a domain name, no website. i've had it for about a month and it is parked at sedo.com. recently, i was offered my asking price ($2,199 for this site and rateshowcase.us) if i could back it up with an appraisal. the buyer is requesting that i get an appraisal from one of three specific websites which will run me about $60. before i spend the money on it, i want to make sure this is at least the ballpark or if i am way off (over or under). i know a website is only worth what someone is willing to pay, but the stipulation with this sale is that an appraisal backs it up.

i originally planned on desiging a financial website with the domain, but if i can make a quick sale and some profit, i will find another name.

Also, you can get $19 appraisals from Afternic.com, which is similar to the $60 from everywhere else.

If you bought these two domains a year ago new (i.e. didn't pay more than $12.95 or so, each), then I would jump on this buy.

Frget about backing it up with an appraisal, especially the free Network Solutions one, as it will come in somewhere like $400 - $600 (I am guessing). Besides, appraisals are just a ball park figure... ask the buyer what it is worth to him/her.
