View Full Version : when will it end?
Yet another paid for inclusion search engine hits the scene!
“Boolya” professes to be unique over all other engines.
Here is an extract from them, “Boolya will only list 100 results per keyword or phrase. Thus increasing your internet presence to the user. We will only have 5 results pages per keyword / phrase with a total of 20 positions per page”,
$49 per 3 Month inclusion.
The only unique think I see about their new product is the fact, only Big companies will be listed,
Giving them a chance to monopolise on the visitors viewing, thus not allowing visitors a choice from searching all the rest of us.
When is it going to all end, bring back the free inclusion search engines, before all the little people get
Swallowed up by the Big Dogs,.
Have you ever added up the amount it would cost to you, if all search engines only included ppc, pay per keyword etc?, frightening is it not.
Do they consider the name their going to be called when they start up?
For example
Y Your
A All
H Helpless
O Offers
O Of
.
C Cash
O Only
M mentioned (referred to)
Perhaps you have a better idea of what to call them?
All the best

Speaking of "the big get bigger and the small... disappear" philosophy -
If indeed Google's algorithm places a higher value on non-reciprocal links, then doesn't this have the same end result of the big guys (ie. ebay, amazon, etc) always being top dog?
So many people link to the big sites and the big sites, with few exceptions, don't link back out.
This is a good time for me to say that everyone should sign up for a free ebay account and set up an "About Me" page with a link to your site - even if you aren't planning to buy or sell on ebay - that's how to get a non-reciprocal link from one of the big sites with a high PR. Can't hurt, can it?

Thanks for the idea of placing "about me page on Ebay".
Did not know one even existed, have now been there and done that.
Does this mean my sites will suddendly zoom to number 1 on ebays partners.
I don`t think so, it was just a nice though!
All the best everyone

This may be a bad thread to post this but not all search engines have gone down the tube after the almighty $$.
Submit Services (that's me) launched a directory style search engine about 3 years ago and still offer free listings. Not only that, the way it works is it is ranked by links, content and visitor reviews. Anyone can end up at the top and of course, some categories are larger than others.
Yes there are paid for listings and advertising options as well. We do not accept adult only type sites, and each site is viewed prior to being indexed.
We were like the starter of this thread. We were fed up with all the pay per click engines, paying a large sum to be indexed and not getting indexed. We decided to learn the game.
No, we are not competing with the big boys and girls and don't know if we will ever get that far but from the raving reviews we get every day from people who use us, something is working!!.

boolya is just another crappy search site. I did A search for "Ford", i get this:
------------------------------------------------
1.Action Auto Wreckers
2.Ford ESP factory backed extended warranty
3.New and Used Ford - CarsDirect
4.Tonneau Covers, Truck Racks, Superchips and much more.
5.Find more results for FORD on Web Search.com
6.BlowSearch for FORD using 15+ Major Search Sources
7.Search for FORD at Netster.com using the Netster SmartBrowse toolbar
8.You can find FORD right now at Info.com.
9.Try searching for FORD at ExactSeek.com.
10.Download free MP3 or text files on everything imaginable.
-------------------------------------------------
This helps me more than Google How?. There whole thing is "Relevant Results". How are these relevant exactly?. I mean come on, no one will be using boolya, why pay them $ for nothing.
