A great news for the owners of good domain names.

Thanks for sharing.

In my opinion good domain names are still worth
a lot of money, and I personally think that some
of the most famous dotcom failures depend on the
way those companies were managed.

Also a problem has been their quotation on the
stock markets, with analysts that did not know
exactly what to take in consideration about the
dotcom companies in their analysis.

As we all know in the internet there are always
new competitors that can appear any moment, and
the users can drop a service any day if a newer
company offers a more interesting service.

I just got around to reading the article. I am hopeful that the domain name industry is turning around.

In reading the article about the purchase, the domain already had an existing business doing $30-$40k per month. It was very easy for the marketing company that made the purchase to validate that type of price.

I'll continue to be a broken record on this, but domain names in of themselves my never bring in the big money the way they did a few year ago, but a domain name with a well thought out business plan that can generate traffic / revenue will always garner a good price... maybe even seven digits :-)
