I registered it a while back with intentions to promote it as a brand name for casual wear. But I am not getting enough time to concentrate on it. lately I searched on yahoo to check if there is anything 'casuale' on any website and to my amazement there were 365,000 pages found with this term. most of them were italian though. but the thing is it also shows the potential of this domain name. what do you guys think of the value of this domain name?

I am a novice in this field and it would be my first domain name selling experience if I sell it and I hope to get some good feedback from pros.

Update: I also have registered casuale.net :p

I think that's the correct spelling of casual in Italian??? If so you have yourself a one word domain, which could be worth something!!! There are not a lot of searches for in on Overture or WordTracker, but still it's a one worder in Italian. Put it up for sale on Sedo and Afternic. You could get quite a bit if you can wait for the right buyer to come along.

Good score!

yep I think so.

and my dear catalyst can you please eleborate the 'something' in figures. I mean what do you think of its worth in terms of $s.

$XX
$XXX
$X,XXX
$XX,XXX

or may be

$XXX,XXX :p who knows? heheh

Please just give your estimate. I know I can get some idea after I put it on sedo or afternic but I yet have to go thru these sites. Do they charge any thing to add a site to their listing?

Thanks!

Sedo is free to list and charges 10% when you sell.

I don't give estimates because I am not an appraiser. The forum is here because everyone kept wanting appraisals, yet no one really gives out numbers because none of us know for sure. There are some other appraisal forums where pro appraisers or ones that THINK they are hang out. You can Google to find them.

Oh IC, sorry.

I do use the software sometimes for fun, but the questions it asks I cannot always answer accurately. Like with your name:

How likely is it people will spell it correctly on a scale of 1 -100. Well that's hard to answer. If they are Italian they may spell it right, if they are American they are likely to forget the E.

How likely is it people will immediately know from the name, what the site is about??? How would you answer that one?

So given my best shot at answers that were arbitrary and given the software did not ask if the name was in a foreign language - which is a biggie. It valued the name at $2,687. But realize this software seems to weigh heavily on the shortness of the name, how many words are in it and if there are hyphens or numbers.
So your name scored high due to those factors. Not sure how much it would actually sell for since it's an Italian word.

Oh my! my! thats a lot for only $8 investment. :) I was too hoping atleast a 4 figure number. Even if it gets close to it thats fine with me.

From casuale the first thing come into my mind is 'casual wear' dont know about others. anyways thanks for taking the time. thats all i needed. :-)

"Ready, willing, and able buyer" is a term commonly used the real estate industry. While an appraiser can come up with an estimate of value for putting a property on the market (market analysis) it is a ready, willing, and able buyer that ultimately determines the value of a property.

I've always considered domain names to be virtual real estate. Just as there is a limited amount of board walk real estate...so goes the same for domain names. As the Internet continues to grow, develop, and change I think domain names can increase or decrease in value.

Ultimately, it will be that ready, willing, and able buyer that determines the final sale price or value of your domain name.

Have you considered developing some ideas for your domain? or are you just looking for a buyer to purchase the domain at face value?

Thanks for your reply keywordguy! I absolutely agree with you. :)

Well I have few ideas of selling originnal cartoonish/bumper stickers and similar casuale branded stuff or may be a site having all kind of casual wear. But I am not getting enough time to concentrate on it. I may partner with someone to do it on profit sharing basis. Thanks for your reply and concern.

Thank you Edwin, I was expecting it to be in 4 figures at least. anyways! as keywordguy said its ready, willing and able buyer who determines the value of the domain.
