Hi all,
My site dropped from Yahoo results even it is listed in Yahoo Directory.
I am using javasrcipt for redirecting pages with in domain.
you are requested to let me know what is correct way of redirecting pages with in domain with out affect my yahoo ranking.
for example
www.domain.com/page1.html
redirect to
www.domain.com/new-page1.html

But www.domain.com/page1.html is optimised and having lot of inbound links.

Thanks for your time.
Regards,
Reddy

I would ask, "Why are you doing this?"

If it is to get better positioning then I would say "Yes, that could get you banned".

If you are just trying to redirect traffic from an old page to a new one, I would say "There are better ways to do it".

I have heard that Yahoo is having a hard time with 301 redirects, but this is hardly an excuse to use javascript instead.

Your tactics sound a lot like those used by the now (in)famous TP clients. More power to you; just be careful.
