Hi,

it would be really nice if someone here could suggest a remedy to this problem.
Our new egreetings web site is set to launch in august, but during the functionality testing stages, 9 out of 10 ecards that we send turns up in the receiver's SPAM folder (and this doesn't just happen with Yahoo!).
One of our programmers suggested that probably some other site hosted on this server could be a known spammer which is why our mailings are being screened, but he isn't very sure if the idea is correct.
Can anyone please throw some light on this matter ? The site is hosted in the GISOL server, and we need to address this problem fast.

asya,
most spam filters work by rating message content and headers with a value between 0 and ten with ten usually being the highest.

if you can improve the content to be more friendly eg cut out a lot of html that refers to external data such as images on a server also what do you use to send the mails out?

I would go to
www.spamhaus.org/sbl/latest.lasso to check my isp there is a place to check an ip address.
I would also try running a text only email to the sites you are testing. If they get through then you need to rethink your code.
You will marked as spam on my system if your email is anything other than text; or you are on my whitelist.
