Sorry for posting this on the wrong place - I'm still just a newbie.

My first contact with Gator was that I searched an app capable of remembering my passwords and presenting them everytime I needed them. Gator is just great in doing that.

Of course, I sometimes get those tiring ads. But just as with any other popups I just close them. What kind of info is Gator actually digging out of my system?

Are there other great apps remembering passwords and importing Gator files so I can keep my passwords. If not I'm bound to keep Gator working on my system...

What Gator collects.
"Some information we may collect, use, and associate with your Anonymous ID includes:
Which web pages your computer views and how much time is spent at those sites
Your response to the ads we display
Standard web log information and system settings
What software is on your computer
Your first name, country, and five digit ZIP code
Your GAINware usage characteristics and preferences
Information associated with your Anonymous ID is used in any of three ways: a) to offer assistance (e.g. knowing when to offer help filling in a form or adjust your computer's clock), b) to select and deliver installation files for optional new GAINware and/or third party software applications, and c) to deliver advertisements and information to you on behalf of our advertisers who are often competitors of the web sites you are viewing."

Matt,

I believe roboform is a good subsitute and is parasite-free. The new Google Toolbar even has form fill - plus a pop blocker. That's what I use.

I agree, these two are best, especially in connection with MyIE2.

I don't get your point... Are we talking about http://www.myie2.com/html_en/home.htm software? Tt is not a browser, it is an expansion to IE, and there are zillions of reasons to use it. The first one is - it is just terryfic and moreover - free. Just take a tour of the main features http://www.myie2.com/html_en/tour/01interface.htm.

I cannot live without MyIE2.
