Second "Payment Approved" Notification

This is my first month with Google - so I'm sorry if this is normal. On June 16th, I saw that "Payment Approved" was listed on my payment status page. I was expecting my check a week to 10 days later. Then... on June 23rd, my account again said "Payment Approved". This was for the same amount as the previous approval (my May revenue).

Is this something that happens frequently? Do I expect the check 10 days from the 23rd? Should I contact Google and make sure they haven't sent me two checks (some of you may not think this is bad - but I don't want to do anything to jeopardize my Google ads).

Any information is appreciated.

it has happened to me too - but this is the first time ihave seen this happen - though i have been with adsense since the beginning of this year. do u think 2 checks this month? -- ;-) hehehe

I guess it was because of their new policy that was implemented just after the first check approvals wherein they wanted you to categorically select where to issue check payments: to your name (individual) or to your company thus the necessity of issuing another approval. Just my educated guess.

After reading the posts I checked my status and Yes I had approval on the 16th then again on the 23rd.
haven't seen this before.
