Hello and thanks for reading.
Since my first review I have mad several changes thanks to the feedback, ie; moved the site map from right to left side, eliminated some of the white space at the top of the page,(still working with that), and revamped my shopping page.
Still very new at this and am sure that it shows.
Will be happy to recipricate a view of your site even if my experience doesn't warrant the status of "expert". Thanks, Ron

Ron. Great. There are many others that are not "new on this" and have not a clear concept like you.

Just some ideas:
Improve the quality of your graphics (left sidebar)
Give some styles to your texts. I will give a more professional look.
Include the Ads from google in the right side. It will work more similar to the original google adwords.
I have read some advise about a possible ban from Google to sites that use the word "link" to control the exchange links policy. Just be careful or change the name of this file.

Just suggestions. I hope that can be useful.

Antonio

Thanks Antonio, Will certainly use your advise. Thanks for the kind words. Even though it started as a fun site and we want it for the most part for to stay that way, we also need to give it a professional look if we expect to profit from the Shopping page.
I was on the road for months as my wife created this site, so I am playing "catch up". Help such as your's is invaluable.

Antonio, if you are talking about the site map side bar, it's the only one we used a graphics program to create, used Micrografx. Are the buttons to plain, what's you're suggestion? Thanks, Ron

A nice site!
Could you change the table border style, make it compacter?

Definitely need to improve the graphics. Also be consistant in your look. Each page should have about the same structure and layout.

Some pages have black backgrounds and nome have green backgrounds - makes me think I've left your site.

Thanks for the feed back. rocos, your site is has an obvious business look as it should. Will inform my wife and partner about the suggestion on table border size. Thanks.
swapshop1, couldn't open your site, clicked on the link, just as someone else earlier had mentioned.
Yes, argee on the graphics needing work. Would you mean with less colors and more streamlined?
As far as the pages setup being different, they all all have the same setuo with only one exception, that would be the Shopping page and it was meant to be that way.
About your site, couldn't get in but read your originalpost today about a hard time to get a following, even locally. have you thought of doing a co-promotion with the radio station you mentioned.
Doesn't seem like it would hurt their business and it would be simular to link exchange and probably benefit you both. Ok, ok, I won't stick my nose into your sales and marketing strategies . Good Luck,Ron

The graphics in your menu need the most work. Being rough-edge transparent, green, and setting on a pink background don't really work well. Suggest maybe a text menu with some style sheets attached to it.

Hello Again,
I recently have made changes to my site based on some great feedback from this forum.
The biggest change is the top of the page where it had been indicated that there was to much white space.
I also changed the font size in the text of the Home Page.
I also know I need to do something with the graphics in my site map, that will be forthcoming.
Any additional help would of course be appreciated,Ron

Well, in my opinion there are too many colors and they do not seem to go well together. Here are some links to a couple of sites that are a great help in picking color schemes.

http://www.colorcombo.com/

http://graphicdesign.about.com/library/color/blweb.htm

Other than that I like the site. It is laid out well. I would recommend that you add a text menu. If someone visits your site with images disabled then they will not see your menu. You should always offer an alternative.

Nice job.

Thanks Ken,
We have just now gotten Macromedia Dreamweaver MX{2}
and plan to use it to aid in some of our graphics and style sheets.
Up till now it has all been one keystroke at a time via an html tutorial. Thanks for your input, any and all is very welcome,Ron

Thank you Kingman, as I just posted in my other site review message to Ken, We are now in possesion of software to address a variety of issues. As far as the colors, this started as fun site by my wife and you know how a lot of women just love colors. We are now, since adding our shopping page, reconsidering a more business style for the entire site. Thanks for the great advise,Ron
Kingman, I also went to the sites you suggested and book marked them. Went to BIXMOX and book marked it as well. I saw some great info about Dreamweaver, which is the software I just got.
Your site was quite impressive at first glance and a PR9 rating, you certainly must be proud. Look forward to using what I can from it.

Hi Everyone, We have made more changes, especially the colors and layout. More interested in the Mineral mine shop page which we expect to be our money page at some point.
I have had feed back on the Site Map buttons and will soon be changing these to text links. Will also add text page links at the botton, but for now would like feedback on the shopping page and overall looks of the site. Many thanks to those who have given us great tips and taken the time to view, Ron

Hi Ron,

the image for the affilliate link on the left underneath your menue doesn't come up on my computer?
Have you considered utilizing the ALT tag for relevant keywords?

Cheers

The colors are much better. 1 more suggestion take the border off of the table. In your code where it says:

<TABLE BORDER="1" CELLSPACING="0" CELLPADDING="10" WIDTH=100% bgcolor=dcfff8>

Change BORDER="1" to 0 this will take the borders away from your site.

To put alt text to you images (in dreamweaver) just click on any picture and down at the bottom of the page you should see a properties panel with information about the picture. One of the options is "Alt" with a dropdown box beside it. Put alternate text in this dropdown box, this is the text box that pops up when you hold your mouse over a picture. This may help with keywords.

Thanks Shandy for the info, got it working now.
Ken, We do know how on the table border remove as we built the site completely without aid of a site design program. We did however remove one of the borders and like the look much better.
We still have a ways to go before we can use the Dreamweaver program, much to learn just to understand how it all works.
Overall we are feeling much better about the appearance of the site and appreciate all the feed back and advise from everyone.
I can't express enough how much I have learned via Webproworld and the numerous forums. A very invaluable resource. Ron

The site looks much cleaner without the borders.

Very nice.
