Can some one tell me what the best and cheapest search engine I should go with. I have a small net business.www.securityselfdefense.com

Google. It's the web's most used search engine and you can't beat the price (free).

If you mean Pay-Per-Click:

Google. AdWords can't be beat for quantity and quality of traffic at a reasonable cost per click.

You can use the Google, Yahoo,Alltheweb.
All are free, If you will get good rank in google then you can get good orders.
Submit your website to DMOZ, domnt forget to submit in this directory and also in Yahoo Directory.
