I am serious about marketing my site but I really want to know what works best in advertising. Should I invest in Pay Per Click, Classifieds or try submiting to all major search engines? My site is www.Protection2000.com What will work best for this type of site? Please help!

Hi There,

All of the methods you mention will work, but you might run into a few problems because of the way your domain redirects to an affiliate site. Here's a summary of how each might respond to that set up:

PPC Search Marketing is a great way to get quick, targeted traffic. Whether they'll buy on the first visit or not is doubtful, but possible. Most PPC search engine ads don't allow you to advertise a URL that redirects to another though.

Classifieds can also work, especially if you place them into related quality newsletters and EZines. Most of these won't likely care that your domain redirects to another.

Search engine listings is another way to go, and IMHO the best way for long-term results. Once you're listed in a search engine, you pretty much stay there until the site goes away (unless you break a SE rule). Getting listed in the SEs can take time though, unless you plan to pay for the expedited services. Whether they'll have a problem with the redirect or not I'm not sure.

Hope that helps,
Kathy

Hello,
I suggest payed clicks advertising if you need fast results, I suggest Google Adwords for that. Search Engine submitions are some times costly and the results takes too much time to measure. But that does not mean to ignore search engine submitions but I suggest to use free search engine submition.
