i m new i n flash and i have dificulties to add preloader to my page pls help me with some useful advices

One of the most common misconceptions new users have is that they think they can see the preloader when played from your harddrive. The preloader is just that, a PRE-loader. If everything is already on your harddrive, you will never see the preloader. To properly test a preloader, you must load it to a server, clear your browser cache and then access the file from the web. This way you are pulling the Flash file from the server. If you have a large enough file, you will see the preloader.
There are several tutorials for preloaders.
One resource is the Flash users guide that comes with the application.
A couple sites would be:
www.kirupa.com - where they have at least 6 different tutorials on preloaders.
www.flashkit.com - use there search function to find the preloader tutorials.

just to butt in...you don't need to upload to your server...test your movie, and select "View > Show Streaming" that will give you a fairly reliable demo of what it'll look like downloading.
You can also change the speed of the simulation under "Debug".

But is that available in ALL versions or just MX/MX 2004?

Definitely there in Flash 5 and unless my memory fails me it was there in Flash 4 -- I didn't get into flash early enough to use ealier versions.
