I was curious as to anyone's thoughts on Yahoo Directory's $299 paid inclusion. Is it worth the money and does it have a positive impact on other search engine ranking positions?

It will have no more impact that a link on any other page with similar PR and number of links on the page - you can get lots of those for free (...well maybe with a bit of legwork) - you have to decide if thats worth the $299

Thanks for your input. Does anyone know if being listed in Yahoo's directory affects your SE position in Yahoo itself?

I have no direct experience of this, but unfortuantly have seen comments strongly claiming both yes and no.

I guess if your site ranks well in Google and poor in Yahoo, and you think the $299 is worth the risk of trying - no harm in paying it for a year...
