Hi all,
Here is my question. My site is about six months old. It seems a lot older, it is kind of like my kids, I can not imagine life with out it.
When I started off we had no money so they cheapest and fastest way to get customers seemed to be with links.
Because of the links the search engines started picking up the website and when I saw hits from the search engines I started working with them and stopped working on links. I then started getting listed high in the search engines and again everyone started talking about pr so I went and hired someone to do nothing but links all day. Because I wanted to work on my pr.
Now we are listed in the top of the search engines for over 100 different key words and some of them pretty good ones for the home page alone.
But I have found that I get more hits from the links then the search engines. I know links and content are the two most important part of a website.
But I now think links may play a bigger part in the success of a website more then even the search engines.
What do you think and has anyone else seen similar stats?

Hello Janeth.
But I now think links may play a bigger part in the success of a website more then even the search engines.
My experience has proven this to be correct. For a small site, say 100 pages or less, getting a few hundred quality inbound links will bring you more steady traffic than high search engine rankings. And the traffic from those links will be more reliable long-term because a couple of SE algorithm changes can drop your pages from the top-10 to the back forty of the SERPS (and you'll see a significant drop in traffic as a result).
But this all begins to change as your site grows as you add more and more high quality pages. With each page comes new top search engine listings for new keywords, resulting in even more traffic.
Of course more pages means more quality content for other sites to link to, which brings in more traffic long with a higher Google PageRank. One feeds on the other, so we need to do both: keep adding new pages to our sites and gaining links to them.
All of this is assuming that we add quality content and not fluff or junk to our sites.

Hi Janeth,
I hope you are doing well.
Recent i read Resarch by Start Market at
( Value Of Link Popularity )
I know that you will be shocked when you will see this Research Ananysing Facts :
you will jump out from your chair *(-_-)*
If a website getting 100 Visitor in day, do you know from where these visitor are coming :
>> 46.13 % from Internal Link
>> 6.86 % from Search Engine
>> 47.01 % from Direct Nevigation and Book Mark
so its value of Links to a website.
Finding a Good Link Partnet mean that UUU are going to find Dimond in Garbage.
So its on you how many dimoand you will find.
Suppose if u have 1000 Link partners and if you are getting at least 1 Visitor from each link, it mean that you are getting 1000 Visitor per day without search engine.
If u get 1% visitor to purchase your product, it mean that you are selling 10 Items or Products per day without usiong Search engine. Its power of Golden Links.
I hope Janeth it will help you....

Hi anuj_pandit1,
Goes along more with my stats but then you also have to wonder how many of those are from people checking to see if they had a link back to there site or checking to make sure a link is working.
The best way would be to know how each customer found your website. But I do agree I think either way you get more hits from links then search engines.

Hi Janeth
I Agree with UUU,
But I believe that Website Optimization its Depend on Seo's that what are the ways they are using and what they think about that market and how then can fetch customers.
Si I beliebe theat Seo is only the
Game Of Your Mind, i dont believe in Top Ranks i believe that How much you are earning.
IOf you are not in Top 10 and you are getting the orders equal or more then top ranksers, then in this case UUU are best then Top Rankers.
Search Engine Optimization only a small part of Website Optimization now its on you that how UUU will call CUSTOMER at your website.
So Website Optimization in nothin that is Only Art to call Visitors at your site to aware about the poroducts.
If SEO is successful to call 1000 visitors per day then but u are not getting enough order its not indicate that your SEO is not expart ::
Then following factors may be considerd
>>Targeting customet are not related to producty.
>> Cost of your product is very high and you are Targeting Low level customers.
>> Content is not affective.
>> Your competetior are giving best offer then you.
>> Your having no proper Nevigation of your website so the user is not able to find your contact number.
So other factor may be there.
So we cant blame to SEO, lot of peoples do it.
so Janeth again i will say that this is game of your mind.

What I have found is that what matters is what kind of links are linking to you in a sense you may not taken into consideration. Is the link prominate or buried in the site on a links page that no one visits.
Most links pages, per se, are ment to boost se popularity by means of being detected by ses and are generally placed on the site in such a way that it's the last place a person visits. They are not placed in a visible, easily accessed part of the site.
I have many links in the casino business but very seldom get visitors from any of them. That's because the last thing a casino webmaster wants is for a visitor to visit another casino website and lose business to them. Some of them are not really links at all but a call to a database that will produce the link if clicked. In other words, it will do nothing for your popularity. I'll get back to this in a moment.
If a link is visible, it's another story. I traded with a site some time ago (porn) that placed my link on the front menu, because it did not threaten his business and rounded out his menu nicely. I did the same for him. I looked at my log today and out of 40, I had 4 from that site alone. Well, I wish all my links were like this. Sure, I'd get a lot more business from links.
What really matters is how visible the links are and that's about it. No one in their right mind will place a competing link where the visitor will find it. I sure wouldn't.
Taking up the matter I mentioned 2 paras ago...when you trade links, be sure it's a link and not a call to a database to retrive your link. Go to:
http://pokerroom.st/
First of all you'll note that the partner link is at the bottom and not easily found. Click it. Then click any catagory. When you see the list of links, right click any one of them and scroll down to "Copy Shortcut" and click. You have now copied the address the link is calling out. Paste it in your address bar and it will look something like this:
http://pokerroom.st/go.php?id=67
That is not a link to the persons website. It is a call to a database to get the address and will do you no good as far as your link popularity is concerned. Just look around the dir there and this guy has hundreds of links to him, but not a one directly to anyone. This guy knows what he's doing.
You should always check to be sure that it is actually a link before trading. There's a lot of this going around. A lot!
peace...Paul
