I am developing a course on knowledge management and the mode of delivery will be Web, CD-ROM, and face to face workshop. The training contains number of independent modules so that the participants can select their required or wanted modules to do the course.

For web, I need an online learning kind of thing where user can sign in and choose the modules of her or his interest. Similarly, the CD-ROM will also have to have the same feature. Frankly speaking both will be the same thing at different place.

What can be the best solution to this kind of project? I am very much looking forward to hearing asap.

I would use either Macromedia Flash or Authorware, as both can be used to develop interactive training items. I am not positive, mostly due to lack of experience with Authorware, if it can be used on the cd-rom as well. The Flash could be put on both the web and cd-rom with little to no modification necessary to the files.

Authorware projects can be stored to CD, as well as working on web pages, there is a packaging wizard that helps ensure you have all the necessary "extras" that provide much of the interactive functionality.

Both Flash and Authorware are great for interactive teaching aids, I guess it all depends on their availability and your budget for the course.
