Hi,

I'm considering buying several domains for resale and park it using domain parking service.

My question, is parking the domain with sedo or any other parking service can generate enough revenue to recover the domain registration cost? Where the traffic comes from?

The amount you can make really depends on the kwywords in the domain and how much type-in traffic you get.

Sedo has a new service now where you can suggest your own keywords and then preview how many and the type of ads will be on your page. They use Google Adsense and pay 50% of review. I just parked several domains yesterday so can't tell you how much money you can make. But all my domains are high traffic and value keywords like travel, real estate and cars so they all have plenty of relevent ads.

Afternic has a special where you earn 100% of the ad rev, through the end of the year. BUT and this is a BIG BUT to me, they don't do any keywords, at least not in the pages I saw. The only word in the title is your domain name, so while you get 100% of rev I doubt you would get many hits. Also their page looks more like a portal or search engine page, then has a bunch of ads for their other domains for sale so I think it could cost you a domain sale.

I will try to start a new topic about this in more detail and post some examples of parking pages later.

Thanks please keep us informed with your results.

BTW, have any of you try to park at domainhop (www.domainhop.com). It's looks interesting, but I cannot find an example of parked domain.
