Hey Everyone,

I'm new to these forums and had a question I thought you would all be able to help out with.

I've done searches on google before for a particular product. There have been times where the very first few results were links to auctions up on ebay. The auctions were still running, which means the pages were fairly new (auctions can be listed for up to 10 days) and got into google's engine very quickly.

My question is, does anyone know more about optimizing an auction page so it appears in google?

Or what I can do to the page so that it appears in google's results asap?

Thanks for all your help!

Auctions that are featured on eBay first page as featured items should be picked up fairy quickly... but that is only a guess.

I'm not too familiar with how quickly Google crawls/updates pages in its index, but I'd say 10 days wouldn't be enough to get indexed before they end (unless, as softwaresubmit said, it was on the home page).

You might do better to try to optimize your eBay About Me or Store pages, or some fixed-price listings (since they last for more than 10 days). (Then again, if you can get your eBay Stores page in Google with a decent PR, I'd think you would also have a better chance of having your items indexed quickly.)
