Many of the items that I sell ship at different times from the distributor/manufacturer. My problem is that customers may place an order for 3 items that will be shipping in three different months. My current shipping set up is based soley on weight, so a customer may be charged $30 for shipping for an order that may actually ship for $10.
Am I making any sense here?
Basically, I was wondering if anyone is using a shipping forumla or has any suggestions for the best way to calculate shipping? I do have real-time shipping capabilites through USPS and UPS, but I have found that, if the order results in multiple shipments, then I'm losing money.
Any help would be appreciated, and let me know if you need clarification on my situation.
