Script to Link Many Products on my Website to Affiliates

Hi, I have a new PHPnuke website that uses a MySql database. I'd like to start linking products in the site up to affiliate programs, but don't know where to start.

I don't know the scripting language, but imagine a search and replace function would help. Affiliate companies are providing databases with product names and affiliate codes. I need a script to allow me to find all occurrences of product names and let me verify if I want to replace the found terms with the hyperlinked items.

And because the affiliates update their products and remove products, I need to be able to access this database regularly with a script to do the same thing.

I have a few affiliates that I would like to use and want to hyperlink my first choice affiliate, but then I want to have a second and third choice, etc., so that if the first company doesn't carry that product then the script would search the next affiliate options.

I need lots of guidance to help me go in the right direction with this. Are there some scripts out there that would help me? If someone knows how to do this, please let me know. I'd be happy to pay for the help.
