Hey guys, I am running a site that sells ozone generators. Basically, there's this option in google that allows me to advertise in the "Content Network" Is that safe? How do I know web masters aren't just clicking the ad to make an extra buck? I tried looking through the forum and couldn't find an answer to this, so sorry if someone already asked.

In this forum you will here people complain that they were banned from the "Content Network" becuase it appeared that they were producing fraudulant clicks on the ads to "make an extra buck." It's not clear if they were actually doing that or not but it is clear that google takes that type of behavior seriously.
I use "Content Network" for my clients. In their results the total cost is much less then that of the results from googles main searches. I consider it safe. But testing is the only way you'll know if it works for you.

I think that if you do decide to try it out do so carefully. Closely monitor your traffic at first, and watch your CTR and budget. Any new advertising venture can quickly overwelm a budget in certain cases. While it is not very common for this to happen, it does occationally happen. So just start slowly with it. If it works keep going, if it doesn't then try something else.

Thanks for your help guys. So far, I find not using the content network for google/overture to be doing well. My reasoning is, if someone wants to buy my product, they are gonna search for it more than they are gonna just stumble upon some ad beside an article and then decide to buy it.

I wonder if anyone who's used conversion tracking tools can shed some light on this? I personally get clicks from my content listings but I don't know how they convert compared to regular searches.
