Word press is one of my favorite systems to use I have always gotten great rankings with it. However in the last site I built for my sons local karate school I chose a theme that would easily allow for photos, videos, etc and looks wise I believe it is one of the best karate websites I have ever seen, however I can not get the search engines to list this site for it's main keywords which is( Karate Bowling Green Ky--Martial Arts Bowling Green Ky )at all. I was looking at the code and I noticed it actually repeats the title in 4 spots in the theme. I was wondering if this could cause the search engines to think I am spamming the title tag? If so how do I fix this? Here is a link to the site (http://eubanksworldchampionkarate.com) if you would like to check it out and review it for me please.

<title>Adult and Childrens Karate, Judo, and Martial Arts Academy in Bowling Green Ky</title>

<!-- rss, atom & pingbacks -->
rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="Adult and Childrens Karate, Judo, and Martial Arts Academy in Bowling Green Ky RSS Feed"

rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="Adult and Childrens Karate, Judo, and Martial Arts Academy in Bowling Green Ky &raquo; Homepage Comments

rel='index' title='Adult and Childrens Karate, Judo, and Martial Arts Academy in Bowling Green Ky' href='http:// (http://eubanksworldchampionkarate.com/)' />

That wouldn't have any negative effect (multiple duplicate title tags). Google simply won't put as much relevance on the duplicates. You can have the same title on every page and it won't hurt you. Google doesn't care.

What you didn't mention are factors that are much more important.

1. Are you indexed?
2. Do you have any links pointing to your site using those Keywords?

Yahoo Site Explorer is showing you have 0 links to the domain. I know Yahoo isn't the best at indexing links, but do you have any links with your anchor text?

Your keywords should be really easy to rank for.

Hi sorry I should have made myself clearer( I noticed it actually repeats the title in 4 spots in the source code on the homepage, not throughout the theme) yes it is indexed and yes it has about 100 or more back links. I have it on every local review site I can think even used the list here of review sites and added it to each of them. We have 20 You tube and Vimeo videos with links going to it, a facebook page with links to it on there as well. Now all of them do not have anchor text but about 30% do.

No, Google will not see it as spam since it get alternate rss code. But it's unnecessary to have

rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="Adult and Childrens Karate, Judo, and Martial Arts Academy in Bowling Green Ky RSS Feed"

twice in head. Not shore if that 2 are from some plugins or in template, but you could try to delete one of that 2 same lines of code.

Don't know if you are aware of this...but it appears only the Facebook link at the bottom works. The rest (Twitter...) simply jump to the top of the page. You might want to correct this...
