i need some help in the topic "end to end security on OFC and satellite systems". can somebody guide and direct me in correct direction?

Do you realize how very broad the topic itself is? That unless you have a rather specific and narrow question, none can help you?

sir,
i am aware that they are broad topics, since it is my research paper topic. what i need is just some guidelines as to what should i concentrate on and what is the current and advanced technology in use.
As per my little knowledge, IPSec is a good security overlay for satellite systems working on IP based applications. For OFC the ideal would be quantum cryptography(but i think is still in testing stage). OFC may also use IPSec.
So what i need is just a heading in right direction.
thanks

Without having a specific application type, transmission media, and threat environment in mind, there is no "right direction."

Sir,
I understand that scope of my question is very broad. i will try to narrow it down as much as i could
SCENARIO/SET UP
A national level shipping company with offices around the country connected with leased PSTN lines(OFC) with major hubs/offices at 4 to 5 places and few other minor hubs. So there are essentially two type of networks
(a) WIRED(OFC) - connecting offices over ground, leased PSTN lines
(b) WIRELESS - Satellite links from tankers and passanger liners at sea to the major hubs on ground
(1) application type- For smooth functioning of company application have a wide range. For e.g. e-mails,messaging,video conferencing, telephone etc
(2) transmisson media - as mentioned earlier i.e. optical fiber cables and satellite links
(3) threat environment - from competing companies, which may hire professional hackers to break-in network, sniff the data, perform DDoS attack and try to bring down the credibility and disrupt functioning.
REQUIREMENT - Secure low level network security protocol and implementation policy/scheme to achieve a secure network architecture.

Sir, I hope this may help

Sounds less like a "research paper topic" than an actual task at hand, one for which a Virtual Private Network would be in order.

Sir,
What kind of VPN do you think would be apt. I was thinking on the lines of IPSec with MPLS. Can you please suggest any other better solution or alternate option. Can you also help me with some resources on these topics. Probably I am asking for too much.

First it is necessary to settle the issue of whether this is a "research paper" or an actual task at hand.

Sir,
This is a research paper at this stage. But if accepted it may / will be implemented for the existing network.

In short, it's for a project proposal; correct?

Yes sir, you are absolutely correct

Sir I am hoping for some advice

You are working on a proposal which, if accepted, will generate income. Correct?
Are you being paid to work up this proposal?

No, I am doing Masters in telecom. this is the research paper i have to submit

At this point I am more than a bit confused.
... if accepted it may / will be implemented for the existing [shipping company's] network.
In short, it's for a project proposal; correct?
Yes sir, you are absolutely correct
No, I am doing Masters in telecom. this is the research paper i have to submit
Why would a Masters candidate be doing a project proposal, one that might actually be implemented, for a shipping company as part of his academic studies?
And, why would a Masters candidate be seeking the advice of unknown strangers with unknown credentials on a subject that would presumably have been covered during Bachelor studies and/or for which local academic sources would be expected to be available?
