I have just come across the service called 'Ad Buyer' by lycos.com and from what I can see it is similar to Google Ad Words. Its the first time I have come across it and would like to know your opinion on it... There has been a lot of hype about adwords but none about this service so I'm wondering why !! Let me know your opinions and views...

Interesting! 1st time I have seen this too. Powered by FindWhat. I would try it if they only advertised on Lycos and Hotbot but they also advertise on Tripod and Angelfire which is not my market.

From my research into Lycos, this is what I found:
Insite Ad Buyer
This is their version of PPC marketing. The minimum bid is $0.05 and the ads are displayed across the Lycos network which consists on Lycos Search, HotBot, Tripod, Angelfire, Gamesvill and others.
