I've recently taken on marketing for a client, Corsican Places. They had half decent listings on some of the major engines, not so much elsewhere, bit of a mixed bag really.

Anyway, did the usual, sorted my PPC campaigns, did a bit of site optimisation etc. Things where going so well we were 2nd on Yahoo on 'corsica' search. Winner. But I went in today to take a peek at my achievement(!!) and we are absolutely no where to be seen.

Any ideas why this is? Can I ever get it back? only thing I can think of is I've registered through a free Yahoo register thingy someone told me about....also added in some javascript for e-analyst which is just for stats info? I've mailed yahoo and asked them but not sure if I'll get a response or not.

heeeeeelp.....pleeeasse.

Dude, enough. This is the fourth time you posted this exact same thing within like an hour.

I really hope your client doesn't stumble across these forums and see you dowsing your drawers like a schoolgirl.

It's actually my first post and I was a little unsure were to put it catorgory wise.

my client is actually me anyway though, it was just a quicker way of explaining.

I hope you don't know first hand what a schoolgirl "dowsing her drawers" is like...although I'm guessing you probably do.

Don't worry I think your in pretty good shape here and yes you will get you ranking back.

Couple of things I noticed right away.
1. Your load speed is slow. Penalty 1. Try reducing the size of your images and optimize them better. Not to the point of making them ugly.

2. Your main key word is not leading. You lead in your title and discription with "Corsican Places" not your target word "corsica"

3. You repeat your target keyword twice in a row at the beginning of your keywords. Penalty 2. You can repeat it in keyphrases but not twice in a row at the beginning of keywords. Seen as spamming. May just need some commas between keywords.

4. You don't use alt text in your images. Good opportunity to use your target keyword. Careful not to over populate.

5. Your allowed some keyword text links use them. tey can be very powerful.

Your very fortunate to have the "corsica" domain name which will give you an edge over your competitors.

Hope this helps. None of this advice will harm you;)
