Does anyone have any information re work.com? I have been informed that Business.com no longer supports this site and all access is denied. I also noticed that all of my articles (with nice pr) have been redirected to business.com. They have vanished!

Another reason why building your own blogs and having full control over your links is crucial!

Maybe someone sued them for trademark infringement and got them shut down... ;)

Site is not fully redirected to business.com. Article pages are redirected to business.com and few post like these are still accessible on work.com work.com/how-to-start-a-recycling-business-2929/, work.com/abstract-logo-design-1487/. looks like they are in process or forget/drop few pages to redirect them to business.com

I tried searching for info, but didn't find anything. Free sites, directories can be great, but always have back-ups and use more than one. But ultimately, make sure you host your main stuff yourself.

About a month ago, I was researching some info on a niche topic, and I was flabbergasted by the number of folks didn't have their own site. Many were depending on Blogger, Facebook, etc. Just crazy in my mind to put your "business" in anothers hand.

I use to post to a site that had a shared revenue model. About 3-months ago they dropped the sharing and most of my content. Some articles survived with the backlinks which was good. They never even sent out a notice.

So you just never know. Sorry. I know it is frustrating.

Fortunately for me I never put all of my eggs in one basket and losing all of these article will have little to no effect on my site. It's just frustrating. I had copies of those articles and have sinced posted them elswhere.
