Actually no. I am an active user on few forums, and my website is receiving about 10-30 visits per month from them.

Have you considered writing quality blog posts about topics you care about? Doing some forum posting is good but also if you spend some time building links and writing quality content pertaining the the respective linked pages, then I think you can build higher organic traffic.

Definition of organic traffic:
Web traffic which comes from unpaid listing at search engines or directories is commonly known as "organic" traffic. Organic traffic can be generated or increased by including the web site in directories, search engines, guides (such as yellow pages and restaurant guides), and award sites.
Web traffic - Organic traffic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_traffic#Organic_traffic)
So you could work on all of those. I'd work on your own website first. Improve your position in the search results with your content. This way you will get organic traffic from the search results and when someone loves your site they will spread the word for you through word of mouth, social networking sites and social bookmarking sites = more organic traffic.

Can't quite make up your mind, can you.
In one thread you ask how do X; and, then, a bit later in another thread, you offer advice as to how to do just that!
Posting for count are we?

Organic traffic only comes one way...from organic, well-written, well-designed, well-produced websites and web pages. That's what makes it organic...it's cultivated naturally, rather than forced upon the universe.
There's no universal formula.
There's no magic button.
There's no secret.
It's just plain hard work, and depending on how much traffic you want, a lot of it.

you should try link wheel also. it helps in traffic increase.
Firstly, traffic is only delivered via direct links; multilevel linking schemes involve links that are overwhelmingly indirect.
Secondly, the PageRank delivered by such schemes is vastly exponentially reduced below that provide by direct lengths. Should you dobbt this, look up the mathematical expression that defines the PageRank function, and do the calculations yourself.
Lastly, Google is quite good at detecting such schemes. And, they are aided here by many who, out of self interest, report such when spotted.
Bottom line: Unless you have lots of money to spend, and possibly waste, paying for a very large number of links, and are willing to risk having your site banned from Google's SERPs, avoid any such linking schemes.

I'm no expert but this is what I do. First I spend time researching the niche and appropriate content and keywords (seed keywords) that will go into the website. I then use Google Keywords, Keyword Optimizer Pro and Keyword Ninja to get a list of relevant keywords. Finally I load these into Market Samurai and find 18 keywords. 6 easy (1000-2500 monthly searches), 6 competitive (2500-5000 monthly searches) and 6 dream keywords (5000+ monthly searches). These 18 keywords are used for the articles on my site. I make sure that each article is at least 500 words long and is of high quality content. There's enough garbage sites out there. Don't add to them. As the articles are indexed I then put them into the article directories. Once you are done with the first 18 pages you can then start adding to them or move onto the next site. There are of course more details to this but this is basically what I do.
Of the ways you mentioned I've found the best way to get targeted organic traffic is to use the article directories. After about 30 or 40 articles you should see the organic traffic picking up as the site gets linked and moves up the SERPs. Of course if the content isn't good then this won't happen.

PR in Google organic SERP can be increased a bit through these techniques. But only a bit. In the post-Google Panda world, content is King. And so are user reviews. Write original quality content, and invite reviews. Also, the following factors are very important to achieve high PR - Website url structure, site navigation structure, Use of external CSS / JS files, Website structure accessibility (use of inaccessible navigation, JavaScript, etc), Use of canonical URLs, “Correct” HTML code (?), Cookies usage.
Once you get a hang of these, your site shall see an increase in PR.
No, no, no; a thousand times no.
PageRank is dependent on in-bound links only.
Must I yet once again drag out the mathematical expression that defines the PageRank function?

These is the best reply yes there is no universal formula. And see only quality link building helps you have a traffic to your site. And understanding a quality link building is very important. Many Newbee thinks that just posting a links in high PR sites with comments are quality link building. But here i just want to say all those members who think like that your backlink worth you nothing until you got visit from those backlinks. No matter in how valuable sites they are posted.See we never click on the signature links of those person who used to post very dump or meaning less comments. But when we find good information in any comment we obviously visit poster site by clicking signature links just to get more information or know more about poster. So links with valuable comments decide the fortune of your site.So when ever you do link building just keep in mind that always try to give valuable information more and more. These will definitely help you to earn traffic and reputation.

That, however, is not the whole story.
Any link, aside from those bearing rel="nofollow," does, regardless of any content, increase the PageRank of the target page, which helps to increase its SERP Rank for the appropriate query strings, which increases its visibility in the SERPs, which in turn increases the traffic it gets from the organic SERPs.

Thanks Mod yes your are right that even no-follow backlink link help to increase in Page Rank.Yes i know many members would have doubt on it.
So here is brief explanation.
See when ever you post a link at any site no matter it would be do-follow or no-follow.It will become a backlink for your site and as we all know that backlinks are a path form which traffic can comes to our site from the site they are posted. The maximum the backlinks, the maximum the visibility and good visibility increases the incoming traffic. As the traffic from different sites comes to your site google starts considering that page or website popular and google always love to give popular result and these all process also lead you in terms of increase in Page Rank.
Little explanation for SERP.
In SERP keywords play very important role.See when a traffic come from different site to your site via backlinks than Keywords play a role of gateways for that traffic.Google consider these activity as a site has been searched for these particular keyword. So as the incoming traffic increase from your backlinks with your keywords.Google consider it as that your site has been search by these keyword.Google also consider these popularity in there search results.Helps you in good search engine ranking.

Firstly, I did not say that "nofollow" Links increase PageRank, but quite the opposite.
More importantly, you seem to have missed the point, which was that all links, regardless of any qualitative characteristics, serve to boost SERP rank, which means more organic traffic.
