Hi All,

Any advice on how I can get my banners to work in IE? They work fine in Opera, FF & Chrome.

They can be seen here..... jasonbear.co.uk/danaher

Any advice would be much appreciated. I am using a WSIWYG approach as I am new to web design right now.

Many thanks Jason

I assume that you may have fixed the problem as I just tried your site Ok in firefox chrome safari opera an OK on IE8...I am still using XP oprating system so cannot test in IE9 I assume this could be the problem as each IE version brings new problems..other members may be able to help you with this.

Where/what are the banners supposed to be? Without that info no one will know if they're seeing or not seeing them.

I have to say, GOD BLESS for having a website like that!

Well your banner loads in IE9 but didn't load in FF. But it's incredibly slow to load in any browser.

Banners seem to work for me the same in IE9 and FF.

One comment...some of the pictures on your home page seem distorted. The photo in the rotating images of the woman with the dog seems squished horizontally as do the smaller pictures for "who we are" and "how we help." You might want to look at recropping the original images to make them less distorted.

I agree with Clint - God bless for making a site like this. It looks like you've done a good job with it.

Looks like the OP didn't subscribe to this thread.

I still don't know what banners Jason (the OP) is talking about.

Yeah I see that too in all browsers. It may not be a matter of cropping, it could be wrong image dimension tags, or he resized them without keeping the aspect ratio.

In IE(6) I don't see the images at the right that I see in FF and in Chrome. And while the arrow left and right < and > controls for the main image are seen in IE, clicking them has no effect, but they work in FF and Chrome. There's no background in IE (it's default gray), but it's white in FF and Chrome.

Aside from the image problems, yes. It's important you fix that, because images are very important to a site like this. I'd make them larger too. You really need to change your title tag, "Home" is useless, you need to put your most important search phrases in it. If you need help with that, let me know.

I'll give him a link since he can't post links yet. http://jasonbear.co.uk/danaher/ I'm PM'ing him to see where he went.

I not only PM'd the OP but sent an email to the address at their website, twice, and never received any reply. Apparently this is not much of an issue to him. That's too bad.

HEY! I can add about a gabillion cats to that list! My wife and I do feline rescue and it is kitten season. Anybody need a 6 pack of kittens?
