Hey guys,
I am doing SEO project for a dynamic website. The site is a social networking site for share traders. Can someone share their experience regarding SEO for dynamic site, as this forum site's moderators have a lot of knowledge regarding SEO.

At the very least, make sure all your URLs are Search Engine Friendly - you might need access to the .htaccess file to configure this. What is your URL so we can suggest things. Also , lots of quality content and plenty of incoming links. And make sure all your TITLE tags are unique and compelling...

Well, i feel there is no real difference between the SEO of a static or dynamic site. You will have to keep the basics right. First of all, you will have to make sure that on-page optimization of your website is done well, if its perfect, work on link-building as much as you can. Quality should always be preferred and it must be kept in mind while running your SEO campaigns. Follow the new trends such as press release submissions, video marketing and blog commenting to drive traffic towards your websites.

I have been ahving issues optimising for a dynamic website. Google WMT is saying that there is an extremly high number of URL's that may have similar content and there are many duplicated titles etc...
Whats the best way to get arount this? robot.txt/cononical/parameter handling tool or are there any others?
I'm pretty sure that if I solve the extremly high number of URL's issue the duplicated tags issue would be a much smaller one

I can see but one difference between static and dynamic websites in terms of SEO, and that's the context. You need to make sure the content (keywords, metatags, etc) is adequate to each stage in particular. This is an ongoing effort, so I suggest regular checks on stats. Twice a week at the very least.
