I need expert view for this, a sabdomain for mobile version website will be better or we should book new domain for optimization purpose? Example - abc.mobi

Personally I think you should go get a subdomain like m.abc.com instead because that's the way most webmaster I know go about it. Hope that helps.

That's actually a good question I think, and I'm not totally sure because I've never used sub-domains. But look at it this way: Your own words; "...or we should book new domain for optimization purpose?" may say it all. With a separate new website you'll have absolute total separate control over a site that's strictly intended for mobile app use. Something to think about. If you can do that with a sub-domain without any headaches or problems, then it may not matter.
If you already have some mobile-pages at the existing site, they are indexed well and have PR, then I wouldn't mess with that and I would continue on with that method. ("If it ain't broke don't fix it").
If you do not, and this is a totally new venture, and if any PR, or "link authority" or "link worthiness" is passed on from a main well-established well-ranked website to a sub-domain thereof, then I would go with that method.

As of me sub domains are better, because if you want go for new domain then you need to start from scratch. Where as sub domain already has your main domain web presence. I would also prefer abd.com/mobi/..... would also work.

@broward ... i think "abd.com/mobi/"..... would also work. would not work directly at mob. because it is the second level of main domaon, as i think for mobile screen we create very light page according to mob. screen size that can be easily open there. Normal web page size, hight, weight doesn't suits according to mobi screen that's why we have booked "abc.mobi" domain and have design all our services pages at mobi. site for easy view and also we have updated a script at our main website for the purpose if somebody will open our main website at mobile then it will automatically redirect that visitor to our mobi. site. our main website is sigmainfotech.com.au and mobi website is - sigmainfotech.mobi try to check at system and then open our main website at mobile it will redirct you at mobi. domain.

Ttry out the .mobi extension sub pages due to website indexing in Google and clear with on page optimization.

I suggest both in the order:
1. subdomain: as you can see all the google projects are only on google.com/ name of the project
2. getting the .mobi domain wich would be similar to subdomain
If you do 1 probably you won't do 2. ( 2 the work just to have the same thing ).
