Hi,
Someone created a video for us, we paid him & now he's disappeared never sending us the raw files.
I have the link to the last video URL he gave me & it says final video, but I don't see how to get access to it as it seems to be underneath his name.
Is there a way? It's on You Tube.
I can't believe we FINALLY found someone in our budget to do this video & we loved it & now we don't have it <sigh>. My mistake in paying him before I had the files.

I have used this site before to download a client's video from You Tube

I used Wondershare AllMyTube and it worked perfectly. Was able to download in the format I needed to place on our e-commerce sites for customers to view the manufacturers videos of the products that we carry.

Thanks guys. He FINALLY got back to me after me waiting for 2 days & calling & e-mailing him. It's unfortunate so many independent contractors are irresponsible, as he did good work.
Does anyone know someone who's knowledgeable about posting our video on different sites? We need someone to do that too.
Take care :)

Unfortunately this is typical behavior of a lot of workers online. They are very unprofessional & irresponsible. And it's too bad, as his work & pricing wasn't bad.
So we are back to looking for a video creator if anyone knows of some people they can recommend & also someone who will upload our videos to video sites.
Thanks
Michelle

Most of the time, you get what you pay for. ;)

I believe you & I have had this conversation already.
My belief is this is NOT true when it comes to services. It's only true most of the time when it comes to tangible items like cars or high end products.
When it comes to services, there's no way to gauge a person's worth until they prove themselves on a consistent basis, are reliable, respectful & easy to deal with & I would say they'd have to be that way for the majority of companies they work for, not just good one time, terrible the next, etc. Consistency is everything.
Anyone can charge any amount they want or have an inflated sense of self worth. That proves nothing.
I've hired higher priced people & for the most part, they don't work any faster or have better skills than people who charge less. In fact I have yet to hire someone who is higher priced who showed me they were worth the higher price.
It all boils down to one thing - the individual. If they are truly skilled (aren't just lying or living in a dream world) & they have a good work ethic & good communication skills, they are a gold mine (I'd say that's maybe 5-10% of the population), otherwise for the rest of the ICs online, they aren't. They are more trouble than they are worth, they play games, aren't skilled at all & are just learning on the job. They end up costing the company money instead of helping the company grow.
Several times over the years I've hired people for lower rates who did a better job than the person who charged higher rates. I didn't just come to this conclusion after experiencing this once.
So I will respectfully disagree :)
