I'm not currently aware of a tool, but if you do a quick Google search then it should bring up exactly what you need.

If you use Firefox there is an extension called SearchStatus (http://www.quirk.biz/searchstatus/) that will show you.

BTW: Joining a forum just because it does not use the nofollow attribute is the wrong reason to join it.

Exactly what I was going to say as well. Coming on a forum asking how to make sure a forum is the right one to spam it is not at all smart.....

This reason might be wrong if you are really interested in getting help or helping others.
Don't do consider that tag for forum participation.

I use searchstatus but can't find the feature that lists do-follow links. The only option I see is 'highlight no follow links'.

Try using this add-on:NoDoFollow (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/nodofollow/) 1.1 (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/nodofollow/)

If the link turns light blue it is dofollow while the nofollow turns pink in color...:D

If you turn on "highlight no follow links" and the links are not highlighted then they are not nofollow. ;)

I use Yoast's Nofollow Greasemonkey Script (http://yoast.com/tools/seo/greasemonkey/nofollow-display/) for peeking at links.

Well-said. It's not right way to join on a forum just because it's dofollow. Joining a forum should not just be beneficial to you and to your website. You should also contribute something to the forum. Share your ideas in forum discussion so that you may also help other forum members and make the forum more interactive.

Just for clarity, it's not a tag, it's an attribute. ;)

Chrome has a light-weight "Nofollow" Extension that I permanently have running.... Firefox I am assured have similar plug-ins. Not sure if IE have cottoned on yet - maybe have to wait for IE 347 for that

I use a mozilla plugin named seosearchstatus, it has an option to highlight the no follow links with in no time, so that you can easily run your seo compaign.

NoDoFollow is good in general, although I agree it's questionable to ask that to a forum. So just spam blogs, ok? Kidding of course.

You can download Firefox add-on NoDoFollow, you can check highlighted colour around the links,If it is blue, then the link is do follow, if it is red, then the link is no follow.

ipagerank for chrome.

How exactly would a pagerank checker be helpful in finding not nofollowed links?

most of the time, they are dofollow alrady but you can use nofollow addon for FF if you really want dofollow only. iN my experience, you will need to register all both Do or No which are great for your SEO benefit and i do it and i got success as well

If you really want to spread some love in the forum communities, then dofollow or nofollow sites should not matter much to you. Because whether you are joining dofollow or nofollow sites, something good will still come back to you if people will see that you are willing to help even without getting something in return. They will be checking your site and telling other people about you.

Hello Friend! You can easily download the Search Status Add Ons on the Mozila Firefox Browser, then select the option of highlight nofollow links option in it. This tool will show all nofollow signature links highlighted & you can recognized that forum as nofollow or dofollow.

In looking for dofollow forums, one must have a good reason behind it. It is okay if you are only promoting your website and looking for better traffic than before. However, to use these forums properly, you might want to read the forum rules first. Always put in mind that you are not in this forum to spam, instead you are here to share information and thoughts to the other members. If you feel that being in a dofollow forum will be more effective in building links to your business, then you can search for a nodofollow add-on for your browser.

You can search the keyword "Dofollow forums list" in Google and you will get the answer. But you have to use plug called SearchStatus with firefox to distinguish whether they are really Dofollow.

Your best bet is to focus on providing quality content and being an active contirbutor of information. Too many people obsess about DoFollow and NoFollow - dont worry about it. It is sort of like PageRank. These things wont change your business model. Focus on "Quality" and "Value"

I feel it's a trade off. A forum wants folks participating and sharing ideas and suggestion, the contributor wants a link to their website that both people can click on and google can find and follow. I feel this is a fair trade. Forums that use donotfollow, or whatever it's called, are being unreasonable imho.

You can take the help of SEOquake tool for Mozilla Firefox to distinguish between do follow and no follow links. It's display a line over a no follow link to distinguish them from do follow link.

Unreasonable to prefer not to have your forum spammed? I can think of at least one truly valuable webmaster forum that is nofollow. One of the reasons I pay an annual fee to belong to it is because I know the members are there to learn or to share. Period. It is one of the highest quality sources of information because everyone is there for the right reason.

If you had any clue how much time moderators spend swabbing the decks of spam, you might see that very differently.
