Hi there,

I am considering getting myself a low-end desk top as I am adding a work from home aspect to my output and was hoping for some advice on what the minimal specs I should be looking for should be. I need only to be able to access web content and ideally want a machine that can make the most of a 4 MB/s line.

Ideas?

Hiya mate. My advise, do not go for the budget ones, just get a second hand one. Inevitably you will end-up using the PC for more and more things (might even be just games) and you'll miss the performance. Instead get a used one, but make sure it's close to 3Ghz with a descent 18-19 inch monitor.

Thanks. How much RAM should I insist on?

I think you should go for at least 4 GB DDRAM, with a Intel dual core processor or better
